Carrie Bradshaw's brownstone!
We all loved Carrie's apartment even though we couldn’t help but wonder: how on earth Carrie afforded her Upper East Side apartment and funded her lavish New York City lifestyle on a writer's salary.
Brownstone is basically a row house and what actually makes it is the facade. There is brick behind the actual facade that you see so it's a masonry building but the actual facade is made of something called brownstone.
The interior plan of Carrie's apartment and the brownstone we’ve seen on the show don’t really match up. That is because the interior was built on set while exterior shots were filmed outside number 64 and 66 Perry Street.
This detailed drawing you are looking at was created based on the set design.
This is Carrie Bradshaw's “real” brownstone!
I hope you enjoy it.
